All About Ms. Brittany Webber
I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina and was a proud CMS student from Kindergarten through 12th grade. It is so exciting for me to be back in CMS as a teacher! I have taught art in the CMS system at all levels: Elementary, Middle, and High School. I have experience working outside of the school setting as an art instructor at the pre-school level ages 3-5, as well as 1st-12th grade art teaching experience in a private Montessori setting.
I was introduced to the Montessori Method of teaching and learning as a teacher assistant and I absolutely fell in love with the concept. Teachers were understanding and kind to the children, children were working independently, and their was a genuine sense of community in each classroom and in the school. Art lends itself so well to students creating individualized art based on a theme or lesson for the entire class.
When I am not in the classroom, or creating my own artwork, I enjoy hiking with my amazingly supportive husband Chris, de-stressing with hot yoga classes, running, sipping coffee while reading, cheering on the Panthers, and cuddling with my sweet dog Joey.
